Jessi studied Media & Entertainment Management in the Netherlands before beginning her creative career as a film editor and VFX artist in Cape Town. Her passion for storytelling and visual creativity led her to dive into various projects that helped shape not only her unique style but also her understanding of the intricate relationship between film and audience engagement.

In 2015, she exchanged the editing suite for entrepreneurship, opening a backpackers in South Africa. This venture was not just a business; it became a melting pot of cultures and ideas, where she could meet travelers from around the globe. Surrounded by an international community, she gradually stepped into freelance work as a translator and media designer, combining her creative background with multilingual media production. Through this experience, she honed her skills in cross-cultural communication and developed a keen sense of how diverse perspectives can enrich creative projects.

Today, Jessi is fully back in the creative world, traveling while working with D&C and exploring the future of film production in the age of AI. As one of D&C’s first team members, she naturally grew into the role of instructor, sharing her knowledge, creative experience, and AI dubbing expertise with others. Her dedication to teaching others about the evolving landscape of media production and the impact of technology has made her a sought-after mentor, inspiring the next generation of creatives to embrace innovation while honoring the art of storytelling.
